When you walk out of the basement, the birds and rabbits have come back and are sitting on the table with fruits surround them. You sit down, share the information you just knew and also introduce the Curse to them. Because it is in your mind and animals can't hear its voice, you paraphrase what the Curse says. You announce to them that you wish to stay and they are still your friends no matter they choose to company you or leave.
